Contributions to GridPAC are strictly voluntary and employees may refuse to contribute without reprisal. Contributions to the PAC will be used to support federal and state political candidates. The contribution levels are merely suggestions, employees are free to contribute more or less than the guidelines suggest and will not benefit or be disadvantaged by the amount of my contribution or decision not to contribute. Federal law requires National Grid to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and the name of the employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions are political contributions and are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. Employees must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident Alien, (i.e., Green Card holder residing in the U.S.) in order to contribute to the PAC.

Contributions to the National Grid Voluntary New York State Political Action Committee are strictly voluntary and will be used to support state and local candidates in New York State. The PAC conforms with New York State Election and Ethics laws as overseen by the State Board of Elections including the collection, and reporting of the names, mailing addresses, occupation, and the name of employer of individuals who contribute to the PAC. Only citizens of the United States, or permanent legal residents (green card holders in permanent status) may contribute to political committees. Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
